Biographical Information

WOODY HANSEN …
Has over 40 years of watercolor painting experience. During that time he has won numerous awards, taught watercolor classes and workshops, juried art exhibitions and demonstrated his watercolor technique for many organizations. His work is in private and corporate collections throughout the world and on the World Wide Web.

WOODY HANSEN is an invited member of the West Coast Watercolor Society (WCWS) for over two decades. After many years of success the WCWS, a professional organization seeking excellence and achievement in watercolor was officially dissolved in January of 2002. The West Coast Watercolor Society membership: Perry Acker, Gerald Brommer, Hubert Buell, Jane Burnham, Robert Kent, Dong Kingman, George Labadie, Katherine Liu, Carolyn Lord, Harold Mason, Judy Morris, Alexander Nepote, Douglas Parshall, Dan Peterson, Rollin Pickford, George Post, Kenneth Potter, Christopher Schink, Millard Sheets, and Morris Shubin (among several others).


WOODY HANSEN
was born in California and grew up in the Northern California community of Mt. Shasta, a mountainous, rural town at the base of 14, 161 foot Mount Shasta.


WOODY HANSEN
currently enjoys helping people with the art of outdoor painting. He conducts “No Bull” workshops featuring what one student described as “. ... useful demos and lectures, with no trivia and plenty of 'push.'"
