Seasonal Change, begins at a recent foggy, "Free Friday" outdoor mini-workshop. As we gather we can sense a belated, but distinct change of season! The painting that results from this particular day is based on a 2" x 2.5", Post-It-Note value plan created along the banks of the American River (Sacramento, California) two months earlier.

Initially, I am pleased with the beginning to intermediate stages of the painting. However, at some point during the days that follow I become displeased with the results. I continue to work on the painting and - luckily - get caught up in the "solution" process. Eventually, I begin to work through the mental blocks and - I believe - find my way out of the watercolor "forest." Sometimes these are the best of moments!
