ABOUT OUR SODA SPRINGS PAINTING ADVENTURE!
From Sacramento, California, our Soda Springs (Big Bend) location is an easy 1.5 to 1.75 -hour drive, from Sacramento, California, eastbound on Interstate 80. The site is about 30 to 40 minutes west of Lake Tahoe. The mountain air will do you wonders! Your senses will come alive! Treat yourself and loved ones to a wonderful weekend away from it all in the majestic Sierra Mountain range! Breathe clean air, soak in the beauty of a pristine stream amid a first-rate mountain environment!

Our Soda Springs location provides another ideal place to paint, including a nearby old mountain hotel and restaurant, built in the 1920’s that sits nestled near a bend of the Yuba River. It's close enough to be the subject of your watercolor, if you like. Feel free to bring your fishing rod and license too! The Layout: In addition to a most impressive mountain range, we’ll be able to paint crystal clear water, interesting mountain cabins, majestic rocks, forests, water, etc. There’s an abundance of material here, so
bring your camera and sketchbooks! There is also much outdoor recreation such as golfing, biking, mountain climbing, camping, river rafting, hiking, mountain trails, fishing and all around sight seeing. Nearby Lake Tahoe is perfect for swimming, boating, fishing and windsurfing. Recreational details sent with registration confirmation.


Our location has extremely easy access, nearby fine dining, including American, California, Chinese, French, Italian, Swiss, Mexican and Vegetarian. I'll begin an on-site demo painting each morning. Afterwards, you’ll have plenty of time to sketch, paint and photograph before and after lunch. I’ll be available to assist you and offer painting tips, insight, wit & wisdom, individual and group critiques too. At the conclusion of the weekend you will have made new friends and be the proud bearer of some wonderful watercolors, sketches, photos and memories for “show & tell!”
