Manzanar Moment – DETAIL – Watercolor by Woody Hansen
(Click image to view entire painting)
Manzanar Moment, is a another in a group of paintings inspired by Henry Fukuhara’s Annual Manzanar Watercolor Workshops.
A transcription this watercolor is not. Technique is definitely not the strong suit here. However, Manzanar Moment seems to have a certain distortion, roughness, awkwardness, heavy handedness, about it that might be considered appropriate in the historical context. So, I invite you to take a look at the complete image of Manzanar Moment, warts and all.

I find this piece interesting. With regard to the issue of content, the sublime beauty of the Egyptian motifs notates the accessibility of the work.
More, next time.
