This is nice.
You know my family jewels are just not for sale. I am not sure what they would look like under glass!
Seriously, this is a good idea for affordable watercolor. I will check back often, and tell my friends!

Woody’s Reply:
Relative to your “not for sale” family jewels, I would suppose they might, under glass appear the same as under acrylic (grin)!
Anyway, I’m glad to know you think well of the idea (and catchy title). Thanks too, for the recommendation.
Your comment provides me the opportunity to discuss the term “affordable.” All my watercolors (and yours as well) are very “affordable,” not just the miniatures. Contrary to popular belief, original artwork is “affordable” even for those on the tightest of budgets.
The Internet makes buying original art “artist direct” more plausible than ever before. That option alone offers the wise patron/consumer a savings of 50% or more in sales commission over the standard brick and mortar gallery. That means a work that is priced at $1200 in a standard art gallery is, under the appropriate circumstances, available artist direct for $600!
As self-serving at it might appear, any serious artist is interested in aligning his works with patrons who are likely to appreciate and properly care for his creations as much as he is in pure financial gain. Therefore, most of the artists with whom I am associated, offer no-interest payment plans to those who might prefer such an arrangement. Friends as well as members of my own family have purchased artwork from area artists on just such a plan.
If one can afford a cup of Starbuck’s coffee, a ticket to a sports event, a play, or a concert, etc. he can afford original artwork. All that is required is a true appreciation of, and a desire to acquire works of art along with a willingness to work with the artist directly. The Internet makes collecting art easier and more “affordable” than ever.
